International Spa & Salon Services (ISSS) was founded by Christine Clinton in the USA in 2003 and has established its Irish / European headquarters at Uisce Day Spa & Education Centre in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Christine, born and raised in Dublin, has been a Spa Industry professional for over 15 years. Upon graduating from Loriam in 1990 she specialized in Massage Therapy ultimately establishing private practices in New York and Philadelphia.

With memberships to the American Cancer Society, Harvard Women’s Health Watch, Mayo Clinic’s Women’s Health Source, The Arthritis Foundation of America, Christine researched and developed innovative techniques to expand and incorporate Hot Stone Therapy into main-stream massage, including specialized techniques for cancer care, maternity and postpartum.

This research was accompanied by a passionate belief in the critical importance of quality education for the Spa industry professional - an importance further fuelled by the dramatic growth and evolution of The Spa Industry itself.

The next step was obvious, the establishment of a business addressing both interests. ISSS is consequently the unique pairing of quality education for the Spa Industry Professional and the provision of specialised spa treatments and products addressing the way we live our lives today!
